Introducing the all new mobile assistant on etisalat
Mobile Assistant is another innovative service from Etisalat Nigeria. It provides valuable benefits to
Executives, SMEs, HNIs, etc, so their mobile handset now offers greater utility.
This service enables a user - in this case referred to as an Executive - to pair another number
(referred to as the Assistant) such that when the Executive number is called it rings on both the
Executive and the Assistant MSISDN. In the simplest scenario, when the executive’s phone rings, so
does the assistant’s.
When either the Executive or the Assistant receives a call using Mobile Assistant, they are able to
speak to each other and transfer the call simply by pressing the star key.
The Mobile Assistant is a network service and works regardless of mobile phone sophistication.
If the executive has the phone switched off or out of coverage, the assistant’s will still ring.
We have recognized that our valuable customers will want to have options of setting the Mobile
Assistant service to suit their purpose; below are the 3 service modes available on the Mobile
Assistant:
Timed Assist: The timed assist is configured such that once the Executive’s phone rings
unanswered after the configured time – for example 10 seconds - the Assistant’s number will start
to ring.
Live Assist - The live assist is configured in such a way that when the Executive number is called it
rings on the Executive and Assistant phones simultaneously; therefore, whoever answers the call
first attends to the caller.
Control Assist - The control assist is the default service mode. It is configured in such a way that
when the call is rejected by the Executive then it starts ringing on the Assistant’s number.

BBM for Android, first images emerge
The rumored June 27 release window has long passed, but BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS is apparently still
on track to hit before the end of the summer . Today the multi-platform version of the messaging app has inched closer to release, with the news that it's now in beta testing among a select group of users.
As such, a handful of images have leaked out online showing parts of the UI — the first from BGR showing a sign-in
screen, the second from BlackBerryOS giving a closer look at the nuts and bolts once you're logged in. On the face of it, it
looks a lot like BlackBerry Hub from BB10, complete with swipe-out gestures for menus on the left and right.
So it looks the multi-platform versions of BBM are hitting the late stages of testing. But it'll face strong competition from
native messaging clients on both Android and iOS when it does eventually launch. Would you be tempted away from
Hangouts, Skype and other messaging services by a cross-platform BBM?
